Visual Resources Reference Librarian Clemson University Libraries. Clemson University Libraries and the College of Architecture, Arts, and Humanities seek a creative, innovative, and technologically savvy librarian to upgrade a digital image database, provide reference services, and teach bibliographic instruction classes. The position will be located in the Gunnin Architecture Library and will report to the Branch Head. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: ALA-accredited library degree (MLS) or equivalent and educational background in art, architecture, or closely related field; strong public-service orientation; familiarity with emerging information resources and technologies; and strong knowledge and interest in digital image collection, database methods, and Web design. Must have the ability to teach the use of library resources in an academic environment. Must be able to thrive in a team setting, handle multiple responsibilities in a dynamic environment, and operate effectively in a diverse academic community. Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communications skills are required. DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Work in an academic library as an intern or in another capacity; knowledge of at least one Western European language; advanced degree in art, architecture, or a related field; knowledge of database design and familiarity with programming languages.
