The Archives of American Art (AAA), Smithsonian Institution, Washington, D.C. seeks a full-time Digital Projects Librarian as part of a five year project to significantly increase access to AAA's collections through digitization. The Archives' mission is to collect, preserve, and make available for study documentary records of this country's rich artistic legacy. Duties include cataloging documents selected for digitization, review and enhancement of data entered by non-professional staff; preparing cataloging documentation; digital collection and website development; and working collaboratively with AAA and Project staff to coordinate policies, workflow, and practices to enhance intellectual access. This is a one year temporary position, with the possibility of being extended for an additional four years. Salary range is $43,365-$56,371.
