The Ryerson and Burnham Libraries currently have a position opening
for Senior Library Assistant. This might be a ideal opportunity for
a current library student in the Chicago area. Please see posting

Duties: Responsible for supervising the Circulation Department and
overseeing all stack activities. Recruits, hires, trains and
supervises part-time circulation assistants. Schedules hours,
allocates duties, evaluates performance and maintains payroll
records.
Qualifications: Previous supervisory experience preferred.
Demonstrated knowledge of library automated systems and proficiency
in the use of related technologies. Ability to communicate
effectively with both staff and public. Excellent organizational
skills with strong attention to detail. Physical strength and
mobility for book handling.
