Oak Knoll Fest XII

October 1 & 2, 2005!

Come join us

The theme of Oak Knoll Fest Twelve is "The Private Press and Leaf Books, a Noble Tradition?" Joel Silver, Curator of Books at the Lilly Library and recent contributor to the Caxton Club's Disbound and Dispersed, the Leaf Book Considered will speak on Saturday morning at 10am giving us a history of the leaf book with a glimpse as to why the private press world was chosen to do them. We will have a panel discussion on Sunday at 10am which will consider the practical and ethical side of the leaf book. Joel Silver will moderate the panel which will be composed of John Randle of the Whittington Press, Michael Thompson, President of the Caxton Club and an attorney with a special interest in the ethical side of leaf books, Jerry Kelly of Kelly-Winterton Press and James Birchfield, Curator of Rare Books at the University of Kentucky.
