The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art
The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art seeks a Head of Library Services to provide
leadership and direction for the Spencer Art Reference Library, the Museum’s
Slide Library, and the Museum’s archives. Position will formulate and
implement library practices, policies and procedures; assign, supervise and
review the work of 12 library staff; oversee collection development, public
and technical services.
REQS: MLS from approved ALA accredited institution; foreign lang
proficiency, strong knowledge of art history (preferably advanced degree),
5-10 years sr level mgmt exp in academic or art research library including
staff mgmt, financial mgmt, budgeting, collection development, automation
