Here's the perennial question asked yet again:
Does anyone have a comparison of the major auction databases that looks at not just the various attributes, but that actually compares the auction houses covered by each site? I know various ARLIS groups have talked about compiling a list and publishing it. Was this ever done?
I am particularly interested in the moment in the coverage provided by Gordon's print and photography price index as compared to Artfact and Artnet, but it would be wonderful to have lists of which auction houses are represented on which databases.
