VISUAL RESOURCE CURATOR
The University of St. Thomas, Department of Art History, seeks applicants
for a full time Visual Resource Curator.
Responsibilities: management and development of digital resources; direct
collection development; management of catalog metadata; provide access,
instruction and consultation to patrons; development and implementation of
classroom support materials; supervision of undergrad and graduate student
assistants; establishment and enforcement of technical and archival
standards.
Qualifications: Masteršs degree in Library Information Science or Art
History or closely related field; 2+ years of visual resource management;
strong technical skills including database design and management, web
design, and desktop publishing; knowledge of copyright laws; knowledge of
analog and digital image archival procedures; copy photography; reading
knowledge of at least two foreign languages highly desirable; ability to
work well with a variety of people.
