Perhaps this is not news to many people out there but it is news to me. I have made some artists' books (unique items) and somehow they have shown up in amazon:

The second one particularly is a single object, now owned by Wellesley. There would be no record of it anywhere except the catalog record created at Wellesley and then perhaps uploaded to OCLC. One clue is that the titles are in lower case, as in a catalog record, and unlike most book listings on Amazon.
Why would Amazon want to clog up it's system with books that will never be for sale? Has this topic been discussed anywhere?
