Cartography Associates is continuing some form of AMICO, but changing the name to AMICA. That's David Rumsey's organization.

They said that they have most of the images, and are adding new ones to make up for the images they are losing.

Hi, Paul and others:

ARTstor is also in negotiations with the AMICO member institutions to
take over from them. At the Houston Conference the AICAD group was
informed that 29 of the AMICO participating museums have been contacted;
15 have so far agreed to participate in ARTstor with images previously
in AMICO as well as more recent and better images. The timeline is 2 of
AMICO institutions will be in the database by the end of the summer 05;
others will be added later in the year or in 06.

Hope this helps.

Moira

Subject: [ARLIS-L] AMICO

Hi,

Would anyone know what's happening with AMICO? I'm unable to find
information about its future on the AMICO Web site. More specifically,
what should institutions who currently have it do if they want to
continue providing it for their patrons? I understand that the group
purchasing unit at NYLINK, the local branch of OCLC, no longer makes it
available, and many universities and college in New York State
subscribed to AMICO through NYLINK for the discount.

Thanks.
