Re: [ARLIS-L] Congratulations to ARLIS/WNY and
ARLIS/O
Chapters planning and working together was one of the important
topics discussed at the wonderful Chapter Chairs breakout session
during the Leadership Breakfast in Houston. While chapters have
cooperated before, I hope it becomes even more common in the
future.
I hope also that the Chapter Chairs session becomes a regular
part of the conference.

Dear Colleagues,
Those of you who could not attend
"Re-mapping Our Urban Spaces", the Joint ARLIS/NA Ontario/Western New
York Meeting which was held from May 12-14 at the Ontario
College of Art and Design in Toronto missed a wonderful
event. The programming was terrific
and the exchange of ideas even better. I certainly enjoyed
meeting and getting to know many Ontario Chapter colleagues and
catching up with ARLIS/WNY colleagues. Besides, Toronto is a
fascinating city with endless resources only some of which we had time
to experience.
Thanks to both chapters for putting this event together; it took a lot
of hard work. In particular thanks to Martha Walker, president
of ARLIS/WNY, and Mary Kandiuk, Chair of
ARLIS/Ontario for their efforts in making this such a success. I
hope that these two chapters will continue to maintain this new
relationship.
