Hello All Members of ALD! This is just another friendly reminder that topic proposals for Banff are due on Sat. May 14, 2004. The officers of ALD - Lucie Stylianopoulos, K.C. Ehlard, and myself are all hoping that ALD can sponsor one or two panels or workshops. Please contact Lucie or me if you have any ideas. Also, Nedda Ahmed has come up with a great topic: "Postcards from the Edge: Reference & Instruction for Film Studies" It will be a day long (9 am - 3 pm) workshop. Anyone who is interested in this topic or working with Nedda, please contact her. [[log in to unmask]]. ALD officers are also thinking that a "Postcards from the Edge" topic can be sponsored every year to cover other areas of academic arts librarianship that usually fall by the wayside: cinema, theater, music... or whatever is not standard, but that you may be responsible for library instruction or collection development.
