I have a question about what I see as a conflict of interest. I work for an institution where the person who is in charge of accessioning collections also has a personal business. Often, when said person is out in the field, this person scopes out items to procure and sell in their personal business. A few of the people at work know this is being done and seem to not have no problem with it. As an archivist, my training causees a red flag go up and for me to think that this must be wrong and is indeed a conflict of interest. Any response or comments would be appreciated.
