LIBRARY ASSOCIATES seeks a junior-level PHOTO LIBRARIAN for a 3-month

temporary position in Virginia. This is a newly created position and

requires someone who is energetic, flexible, and in addition to

understanding research/Internet searches, databases, and taxonomies, who can

do his/her own support work such as data entry. 

RESPONSIBILITIES 

* Photographic research 

* Saving photos to database 

* Apply strict taxonomical terms to photos 

* Data entry 

* Must work on site (i.e. no telecommuting) 

QUALIFICATIONS 

* MLS or coursework toward MLS is strongly desired 

* Familiarity with photography, photographic terms, formats is strongly

desired 

* Ability to research, categorize, follow strict taxonomical processes

required 

* Ability to maintain attentive to detail, have excellent organizational

skills required 

* Professional demeanor, reliability, enthusiasm, and demonstrated

flexibility in the workplace 

HOURS 

* Full-time hours, Monday - Friday 

* Possibility of becoming a regular position after three months
