Hello All: I would second Al Willis' comments on applying as a delegate to the ARLIS/UK & Ireland Conference 2005 in Birmingham, England. Last year I applied for the ARLIS/UK & Ireland International Delegate Award and was honored to be selected. It was an exciting conference held in Oxford last July. It is a great opportunity to meet and network with Art Librarians from the UK and other cities in Europe. I also taught in Birmingham in 1999 as part of a Study Abroad program through the University of Minnesota Duluth. Birmingham is a beautiful city with lots of cultural activities.....museums, galleries, music, shops, gardens, etc. And you can get everywhere by bus or train. I enjoyed the city immensely and have back there several times since 1999. I would encourage you to think about applying for this award.
