Artifact has recently joined this list and we thought we would introduce the service to
you. Apologies if this is not the type of message to send to this list.

Artifact http://www.artifact.ac.uk is a guide to the best of the Web for the Arts and
Creative Industries, and forms part of the Resource Discovery Network (RDN)
http://www.rdn.ac.uk

Artifact aims to be the UK Higher and Further Education first choice for accessing
quality Internet resources for teaching, learning and research in the arts and creative
industries.

Although Artifact is designed primarily for use by those in UK education, it is relevant
to anyone involved in any aspect of the arts and creative industries and is freely
available to anyone with access to the Internet.

Each resource and web site in Artifact is selected by subject specialists and librarians
for its academic quality and subject relevance and includes a description of the
resource's key features. The Artifact Internet Resource Catalogue can be browsed by a
subject or searched using a specific keyword.
