Suzanne Benton: Face & Figure - Selected Works, 1955-2005, will be on view in
the Queens College Art Center April 12 - July 14, 2005. The artist will give a gallery
talk and perform a mask tale on Tuesday, April 12, 5 - 6 pm. A reception will
immediately follow, 6 - 8 pm.
The exhibition presents 55 works in which Benton, a QC alumna (Suzanne Elkins,
BA 1956) explores the human form and varied aspects of the human experience in
multiple media. Benton's works have been exhibited at hundreds of museums,
universities, and galleries throughout the United States and abroad, and this
exhibition marks her 50 years in art.
