The proceedings of the conference "History in Words and Images", held at
the University of Turku, Finland, in September 2002 have now been
published as an eBook. The sessions of the conference included themes

the Places of Memory", "Re/Forming Historical Consciousness in the Age
of Spectacle", "Towards Visual History" and "Focusing on Historical
Film".
