After a difficult choice among deserving candidates, ARLIS/NY is pleased to present the 2005 Celine Palatsky Travel Award to Lauren Edison.
Lauren is a student at Pratt, studying for a dual degree in Library Science and Art History. As recipient of the 2004-2005 ARLIS/NA Internship Award, Lauren is currently helping to catalog drawings and prints at the Pierpont Morgan Library. She has also served as a Graduate Assistant at Pratt, focusing on reference and visual resources, among other areas.
Lauren looks forward to the conference as "an opportunity to stay current with the issues art librarians face and to develop professional relationships." Attending for the first time, she is particularly interested in a session on the cataloging of cultural objects.
Please welcome Lauren to Houston in April.
