The New Art Round Table (NART) will be meeting in Houston on Monday, April
4, 8-9:30 a.m.

This year NART is pleased to host Andrea Grover who has graciously agreed
to speak at the round table meeting. Ms. Grover is Executive Director and
co-founder of the Aurora Picture Show Microcinema, one of Houston's
extraordinary art treasures. Aurora Picture Show has recently been
accepted into the Warhol Initiative, the Andy Warhol Foundation for the
Visual Art's national capacity-building grant program for visual arts
organizations. Deemed "One of the most interesting and unusual new spaces
in Houston" by Frances Colpitt, art historian and critic, Aurora Picture
Show's mandate is "to champion short artist made films and videos, to host
visiting film/videomakers and curators, and to encourage active
audiences." Please join us for a personal introduction to one of the
"worlds finest Microcinemas". For more information on programming visit the
web site: http://www.aurorapictureshow.org/

In addition to our guest speaker, we will also be conducting a short
business meeting. Please e-mail proposed agenda items to me by no later
than March 25th.
NART will hold its annual election for the positions of vice-moderator and
Update column editor, so please consider nominating yourself or someone
else for one of these positions. Also, contact me if you're interested in
volunteering to serve as session recorder (i.e., take minutes and submit
report).

See you at the conference!
