In announcing agenda topics for the meeting this coming Monday at the Frick Collection I mentioned ALA reports. Reports from cataloging sessions at the recent midwinter American Library Association conference are posted on Sherman Clarke’s cataloging page at http://artcataloging.net/alagen.html
The art cataloging community is, as always, indebted to the conference attendees both for representing our interests at the sessions and for producing the great reports so quickly. The report from the SAC Task Force on Buildings and Other Structures is a great overview on the buildings/names/subjects issue. Whether or not you’ll be attending the meeting at the Frick Collection on Monday it would be good to have a look at the reports.
