HEAD OF TECHNICAL SERVICES
Pratt Institute, located in the Clinton Hill section of Brooklyn, has an
excellent opportunity for a library professional with at least five years’
increasingly responsible experience in an academic library technical
services area. The successful candidate for this administrative position
will manage Acquisitions, Cataloging and Preservation operations. An
ALA-accredited M.L.S. or its international equivalent is required; an
additional advanced degree in an art related filed is preferred. Applicants
must have experience in academic library automation and integrated library
systems; bibliographic utilities; acquisitions; and cataloging and
preservation. Extensive knowledge of metadata standards, especially MARC as
well as some supervisory and budget experience is also required. Salary:
High $40’s commensurate with qualifications and experience. For a complete
