It does definitely resound Casa Malaparte in Capri, Italy.

The house belonged to the journalist and writer Curzio Malaparte. The two most recent books are:

 

McDonough, Michael, Malaparte: a house like me, (New York: Verve Editions: Clarkson Potter, 1999).

 

Talamona, Marida, Casa Malaparte, (New York: Princeton Architectural Press, 1992).

 

You will also find many articles via Avery Index and of course on the Internet as per

Kjersti's suggestion. And if you wish to go one step further, the house is featured in Jean-Luc Godard's film, Les Mepris=Contempt.

This sounds like Casa Malaparte by the architect Adalberto Libera.

There are lots of journal articles, web pages
