Not desperate yet, but we are in search of Artist Alexander Rappoport.  

 

A University of Arizona campus department would like to reproduce his painting titled "Prayer" on the cover of a departmental publication.  

 

Does anyone have a contact in Munich, Germany who can tell us if the artist is still alive or who may own the copyright for his image?

 

Also, does anyone have a name of a contact and contact number for the Vilna Gaon Jewish Museum?
