Please excuse cross-posting.

This is to clarify that conference logistics such as transportation options, the meeting finder and a brief calendar of events referenced in the message below are not currently available on the conference web site.  Please note that the information will be posted shortly and you will receive a message, via the listserve, as soon as it has gone live.

Currently, the conference site http://www.arlis-txmx.org/arlisna2005/ does have relevant information related to the program, workshops, tours, hotel, expenses, contacts, and Houston in general so please do not hesitate to visit!

Apologies for any confusion.

Subject: 33rd ARLIS/NA Annual Conference Preliminary Program

Please excuse cross-posting.

With a chilly winter right around the corner for many of us, please find solace in thoughts of next spring and our 33rd ARLIS/NA Annual Conference, April 1-6, 2005 in the richly diverse and balmy city of Houston, Texas!

The conference theme, Beyond Borders: Collaborative and Explorative Ventures in Arts Information, has inspired a wonderful variety of program content covering a range of topics that will be of interest to you.  The preliminary program is now available online as a PDF document:  http://www.arlis-txmx.org/arlisna2005/program.php.  Shortly, the Conference Planning Team will be launching a dynamic conference program site that will allow you to use keywords to search for programming of interest to you that will make customizing your conference schedule easy.

In the preliminary program you will not only find abstracts describing panel discussions but also information about workshops, tours, and conference logistics such as transportation options and hotel reservations, not to mention a meeting finder, a brief calendar of events and information about Houston.

The Conference Planning Team will continue to update you as conference web site evolves and entice you with information about the conference city.

We look forward to seeing you in April 2005.

Elizabeth Schaub & Laura Schwartz

Conference Program Co-chairs
