Issue #9 of "works + conversations" is now in print. Included is an interview with Enrique Martínez Celaya, a portfolio of Robert Brady's work and a remarkable article by Mary Rakow, author of "The Memory Room," on Martínez Celaya's work. Martinez Celaya is currently in Berlin with his collaborative piece which he produced to go with the Berlin Philharmonic orchestra's performance of Beethoven's last works. Afterwards, Martínez Celaya's piece will go to the Berlin Museum and then to the Los Angeles County Art Museum. Past issues include interviews with James Turrell, Judy Pfaff, Ursula von Rydingsvard, Paolo Soleri, Viola Frey, Squeak Carnwath, Jim Campbell, Michael C. McMillen, James Doolin, Carl Cheng, Ann Hatch and others. I'd like to offer a review copy to art librarians interested in taking a look at this unique magazine. Only six issues of #1 remain. I mention this because when libraries subscribe, they often want all the back issues. Richard Whittaker, editor works + conversations P.O.
