Position Title: Librarian
Reports To: Director of Library

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Supervise and provide library services to include reference service,
circulation, bibliographic instruction (including electronic and Internet),
and interlibrary loan. Assists faculty, students and staff in the
development of research skills.
2. Supervise and provide library technical services, including cataloging,
material processing, and equipment maintenance.
3. Provide a library collection that meets the curriculum needs and
requirements of accrediting agencies.
4. Select and maintain a collection of learning resources in a variety of
formats that support the mission of the Institute.
5. Other duties include:
Functioning as serials librarian
Functioning as acquisitions librarian
Functioning as cataloger
Position Specifications:
1) Master's Degree in Library Science from an ALA- accredited school
required.
2) Experience working in a Library in an academic institution or two-year
college
3) Excellent oral and written communication skills
4) Exceptional organizational skills
5) Familiarity with collection development
6) Knowledge of OPAC's, OCLC, MARC records and current technologies
