Posted for Laurie Whitehill-Chong Book Arts Tutorial in Bologna, Italy $1,200 buys up to three people, or a small family the opportunity to spend a week in a quiet two-bedroom house a short busride away from the center of Bologna. One or all of the occupants are invited to spend two 3-hour sessions with American book artist Angela Lorenz in her studio or about the city. This time could be used in a variety of ways, such as developing or critiquing book projects, exploring the world of book arts in general through the artist's reference library or her own work, or as an opportunity for conducting personal research in Italy. Bologna is filled with libraries and museums ripe for exploration. The artist would be happy to facilitate necessary passes ahead of time, or personally guide participants through short itineraries tailored to individual interests, October 1 -July 1.
