The JCLC '06 "Gathering at the Waters" conference will include a one-day pre-conference and four days of tracked programming, encompassing-issues programs and individual and combined celebratory events. It is also a conference directed towards diversity within library and information studies and the research and development aspects of community outreach. It will establish a forum for the exchange of ideas and dissemination of information on both new and existing ideas. JCLC '06 seeks the best ideas in providing library services on the topics below and invites proposal submissions for contributed papers, panel sessions, workshops, poster sessions, and roundtable discussions. This conference will feature speakers from academia, public, school, private industry and government agencies. Program costs: In accordance with Conference practices, presenters cannot receive honoraria nor have expenses reimbursed for presenting conference programs.
