register for Early Bird rates, register by October 22. That is also the
DEADLINE for reduced rate for the conference hotel.

You might still see the date of Oct. 13 but we have been granted an
extension on the conference rate of $109 until Oct. 22. When registering
be sure to mention the VRD conference. After Oct. 22, the rate goes back
up to $199.00.

The pre-conference is titled "Managing Technology for Digital Reference
Services: Practical Strategies," presented by Chuck McClure, Jeff Rubin,
David Lankes, Donna Dinberg, and Jody Condit Fagan.

The post-conference is titled "Digital Reference Training and Education,"
presented by David Lankes, Abby Goodrum, Patricia Memmott, and Blythe
Bennett. This workshop will be available in a virtual setting as well as
on-site, using LiveMeeting.
