ARLIS/TX-MX mtg. program addition

Dear Chapter,

I am pleased to report the following addition to the program for Oct. 21-23:

The Friday morning presentation, "Collection and Exhibiting Contemporary Art in Houston," will feature:

Lynn Herbert, Chief Curator at the Contemporary Art Museum

I have arranged a new tour for Saturday afternoon, 1:30-3:30: a walk-through tour of the new Houston Federal Reserve campus by Michael Graves. Situated on a beautiful lot in the historic Fourth Ward that overlooks the Buffalo Bayou, the Houston Federal Reserve is an amazing blend of architectural elements that serve highly specialized civic functions. The campus is still a construction site, with occupation taking place May 2005 (no open-toe shoes allowed, grounds may be muddy, etc.).
