The Art Libraries Society of North America’s Conference Planning Committee is very pleased to announce that an exhibition and silent auction benefiting the Society will be held during the 2005 annual conference in Houston.  

 

Members who are artists and authors are encouraged to contribute works of art and publications to the silent auction.  Works will be exhibited during the conference prior to the auction.  Works of art should be no larger than 36” x 36,” and they should be ready for display.  We request that an image of the work accompany the donation form so that we have a visual representation of the item. 

 

In addition, all ARLIS/NA members are invited to contribute to the auction.  Interesting books and other items that will encourage lively bidding at this event are most welcome.

 

Details of the exhibition and auction will be finalized at a later date and posted to the conference web site.  The web site will include a donor form and information pertaining to the shipping and receipt of donations.  Furthermore, the planning committee is working to develop an online exhibition showcasing contributions that will go live a week prior to the conference.
