It's "The Death Artist" by Jonathan Santlofer, fyi....
interesting story about the author - he was a visual artist, painter, who
brought all his art works for a big retrospective to one place - they were
completely destroyed by a fire. As part of his therapy, recovery he wrote
this contemporary tale of an a serial murderer who is also an artist...
