Visual Resources Curator Bard College seeks a full-time Visual Resources Curator. Leadership and vision needed to administer and develop all aspects of a rapidly expanding image collection (currently over 100,000 slides and 6,000 digital images) supporting the curricular and research needs of students and faculty. The Curator will oversee acquisition, cataloging, mounting, circulation, photography, and maintenance of images; develop, implement, and maintain computer database files; supervise staff of 1 part-time Assistant Curator and 5-7 student employees; orient patrons; develop digital imaging and database applications; and oversee budget. Required: M.A. in Art History or M.L.S. with an art history background; strong organizational and interpersonal skills; knowledge of computer cataloging and database management; minimum 3-5 years of professional visual resources supervisory experience.
