WHAT: ARLIS/New England spring meeting WHEN: June 4, 2004 WHERE: Blithewold, and Bristol, Rhode Island, Please join us on Friday, June 4, for our Spring Meeting, as we visit Blithewold, both the house and the gardens, and then later in the day, have a tour of historic Bristol, Rhode Island, led by Kevin Jordan, retired Professor of Historic Preservation from Roger Williams University. He received the Frederick C. Williamson Professional Leadership Award from the Rhode Island Historical Preservation and Heritage Commission in April. His latest project has been the restoration of the Bristol Country Statehouse in Bristol. He is also researching the Bristol slave trade and its African American neighborhood in the 18th century.
