Hello, all.
I'm hoping someone out there can help me find something. I'm looking for a
copy of the auction catalog for the estate of Mr. S. C. Hall (1800-1889),
the journalist & editor of Art Journal (London). In SCIPIO, there is one
record for the auction held by Foster auction house entitled "Pictures &
drawings, mostly had direct from the artists" that took place on 2 May
1889. The SCIPIO record ID# is CASX90-P2913, location UC-Santa Barbara on
microfiche. I need to find out if there was any work by a particular
artist in the collection.
I'd appreciate any leads or help anyone can offer. Thanks in advance!
