Reports and Discussion
1.) Report about the Professional Development Committee's mentor plans from
Deborah and a PDC member.

*Discuss interest of ALD in supporting the mentoring new and mid-career
librarians.

*Discuss the possibility of coordinating a mentor program for new and
mid-career academic librarians with the PDC. If so, what role can/might
the ALD help formalize this as a program?

*What are the next steps if this is to happen!

2.) Revisit the discussion from last year about preserving the integrity
and uniqueness of fine arts librarianship in light of more and more mergers
with generalists.

3.) Revisit last year's discussion about the issue of depleting budgets and
the need for advocacy of humanities and arts resources.
*Does anyone have any new stories -- successes or disasters -- to share?
*How are electronic resource budgets structured in various institutions?
*Is anyone having to rely more heavily on general library budgets? Or are
your budgets able to support/accomodate the new electronic resources? (i.e.
ARTstor, JSTOR)

4.) Working off of another discussion last year, can/shall we organize a
network within the ALD that serves as a support group in areas of special
interest. How might we administrate?
*Collection Development
* Artist files working group
* Portal to free Internet resources on the arts
* They Never Covered This in Library School
* Teaching Librarians in the Arts

5.) Open discussion on Mobile Librarians -- any input, stories,
recommendations?

2.) Other new business or additional topics for discussion
