Lee Robinson at NYPL asked me to post this important message about access
to the ARLIS/NYC04 sessions that will be held at the New York Public
Library.  It is critical that you pay attention to this information if you
plan to attend any of these events.

Attention members registered for sessions being held at New York Public
Library:

Workshop 3: "They Never Covered this in Library School: Basic & Advanced
Tools for Research in the Western Middle Ages",  Friday, April 16th from
8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.  Because the Library does not open until 10:00 a.m.,
use the staff entrance at 11 West 40th Street.  Please arrive by 7:45 a.m
with your conference badge.  You will be met by a staff member, issued a
Visitor's Pass, and escorted to the meeting site.  Allow 15 minutes to walk
from the hotel to the Library.

Workshop participants who wanted to walk over together from the Roosevelt
Hotel should meet at the ARLIS/NA conference registration desk by 7:25 am;
the group will leave for the NYPL at 7:30.

Session 18, "Modernizing Libraries: Classical Architecture Meets Modern
Technology", Monday, April 19th  9:00-10:30 a.m.  The Humanities and Social
Sciences Library is officially closed on Mondays, the only entrance open
for    conference attendees will be at 11 West 40th Street, the staff
entrance.  All attendees must arrive no later than 8:45 a.m.  Please have
your conference badge to show to security.  You will be met by a staff
member,  issued a Visitor's Pass, and escorted to the auditorium.
Please do not be late, late arrivals will need to be escorted by security
and may not be admitted.  Allow 15 minutes to walk from the hotel to the
Library.  Tours of the Library will be available after the session.
