Teaching Librarians in the Arts Discussion Group--Topics

ARLIS/NA conference attendees,

The Teaching Librarians in the Arts Discussion Group will meet on Sunday, April 18th from 8:00-9:00am.

For your cogitation, the topics proposed for discussion include the following:

+ What info lit components/models are needed for art/design/architecture students that are not standard in a general info lit program?

+ What are librarians doing to help studio artists?  They need to be able to do art historical research AND research for their projects/art work, so their skills needs are formidable.  Any tips/suggestions/ etc.?

+ How do you integrate information literacy into the curriculum and teach faculty?

      + Discussion of image databases

+ Ideas on how to successfully engage or collaborate with studio faculty to bring library instruction programs into their classes

+ How to incorporate teaching technology in an info lit course

Hope to see you soon,

Rijn Templeton ([log in to unmask])

Betsy Peck Learned ([log in to unmask])
