Hi everyone, A faculty member is looking for artistic allegorical illustrations of the concept of "the will", or free will, especially in the art of the 17th and 18th centuries. Other related concepts that he is interested in include "self control", "reason", "temperance", "responsibility", "virtue", and "freedom". I've checked several sources, and have come up with a few things, but I was wondering if any of you can either recommend reference tools or thematic catalogs that might answer his question, or recommend artists or pieces of art in particular. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Please respond off-list. Best regards, Don _________________________________ Donald R.
