Hello ARLIS, The site for the NEW ART ROUNDTABLE annual conference meeting has been set: Europa Cafe 520 Fifth Ave. (between 43rd and 44th Streets) Sunday April 18, 2004 12:30-1:30pm (this replaces the time published in the preliminary program, which was Sunday 8-9am) Please RSVP if planning to attend ([log in to unmask]). Or just come over if your schedule suddenly opens up. The cafe has a varied inexpensive menu, fast counter service, and a spacious seating area. It's just around the corner from the hotel, and open Sunday! Join us for lunch and conversation. Leading the hour will be a guest speaker: Susan Leonard, librarian at the Center for Curatorial Studies at Bard College (http://www.bard.edu/ccs/library/about/) will talk about her library which serves Bard College's Master of Arts in Curatorial Studies (http://www.bard.edu/ccs/graduate/). Carol Rusk, Librarian at the Whitney, will distribute passes to the Whitney Biennial (http://www.whitney.org/ - note that the Whitney is closed Mon-Tues, so this would be an option for people who can attend the exhibit on Sunday afternoon or who are staying in NYC through Weds). We should also identify a new moderator, vice-moderator, and Update column editor, to keep the new art conversation going for the next few years. But you need not be present in New York to become involved -- contact me for details if interested. Best wishes, Kathy Cowan Moderator, New Art Roundtable -- Katherine Cowan Acting Director, Decker Library Maryland Institute College of Art 1300 Mount Royal Avenue Baltimore, MD 21217 tel: 410/225-2311 fax: 410/225-2316 email: [log in to unmask] __________________________________________________________________ Mail submissions to [log in to unmask] For information about joining ARLIS/NA see: http://www.arlisna.org//membership.html Send administrative matters (file requests, subscription requests, etc) to [log in to unmask] ARLIS-L Archives and subscription maintenance: http://lsv.uky.edu/archives/arlis-l.html Questions may be addressed to list owner (Kerri Scannell) at: [log in to unmask]
