The 33rd annual conference of the Art Libraries Society of North America will take place in Houston, Texas, March 31-April 6, 2005. Inspired by and a reflection of Houston’s diverse locale, the theme for the 2005 conference,

Beyond Borders: Collaborative and Explorative Ventures in Arts Information,

allows us to examine the myriad relationships that form among and between information professionals serving the needs of multifarious patrons. The following list gives one an idea of the types of programs the theme might inspire. Please consider the theme as a suggested direction for conference proposals keeping in mind that all proposals will be considered even if they fall outside the theme’s general scope. Please find the guidelines for submissions and online proposal form at http://www.arlis-txmx.org/arlisna2005/programGuidelines.html designed by the incomparable Sam Duncan.

The deadline for proposals will be May 31, 2004.  We look forward to your contributions towards a rich and diverse conference in Houston.

Elizabeth Schaub and Laura Schwartz, Programming Co-Chairs
