The program is a wonderful experience for librarians from underrepresented racial groups who have been in the profession less than three years. It was originally created for folks who were in residency programs, but no formal residency experience is required. The program is a one week experience, hosted by the University of Minnesota, and participants spend 1/2 of the time exploring leadership development and the other 1/2 developing technical skills in Minnesota's high tech labs. Complete information about the program is available at <http://sdt.lib.umn.edu/institute/>. Thanks for sharing! dj DeEtta Jones Director, Organizational Learning Services Association of Research Libraries 21 Dupont Circle, NW Washington, DC 20036 Office: (202) 296-2296 Fax: (202) 872-0884 Email: [log in to unmask] __________________________________________________________________ Mail submissions to [log in to unmask] For information about joining ARLIS/NA see: http://www.arlisna.org//membership.html Send administrative matters (file requests, subscription requests, etc) to [log in to unmask] ARLIS-L Archives and subscription maintenance: http://lsv.uky.edu/archives/arlis-l.html Questions may be addressed to list owner (Kerri Scannell) at: [log in to unmask]
