The Image of France project, recipient of the ARLIS/NA Research Award in 1997, is now the beneficiary of an Andrew W. Mellon Foundation award to Binghamton University. Over the next two years, consequently, the project will extend its presentation of the record of prints -- lithographs, engravings, photographs, etc. -- authorized for publication in France to comprise the entire era of 1811-1880. It is estimated that the resulting database will contain the official record and date of publication of close to half a million prints. The project may be consulted without fee to the user at a new address: <http://www.lib.uchicago.edu/efts/ARTFL/projects/mckee/> It continues to be directed by George McKee at Binghamton University Libraries, and it is supported by the ARTFL Project. Its continuation will benefit from the collaboration of Régine Bigorne, an affiliate of the Musée Goupil in Bordeaux. --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free.
