No one prevents these job postings from happening, not me nor anyone from HQ.  ARLIS-L remains an open list.  My responsibility as President dictated that I notify the list of ARLIS/NA's "official" stance on job postings, that's all.  And job postings to ARLIS-L are part of the JobNet service as well.
