Hello All,
Are any of you getting historical newspapers like the New York Times online through Proquest? If so, are you throwing out your microfilm? It seems to me that this could be questionable with the changing nature of technology and budgets as well. (Your library must be committed to supporting this product whatever its future shall be.) Also there is the issue that Proquest said that libraries only purchase issues from 1851-the 1920's because of copyright. For rest of the New York Times, you purchase access only. Let me know what you are doing if you have come up against these issues.
Many thanks in advance,
Sandra Rothenberg
