Announcing the fall meeting of the DC/MD/VA chapter of ARLIS/NA.

 

The chapter officers are pleased to announce that the National Museum of Women in the Arts in Washington, D.C. will host the meeting Friday, November 7^th from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.  Members should gather in the main entrance of the museum, which is located at 1250 New York Ave., N.W. A map and directions can be viewed at: www.nmwa.org/about/getting.asp.  A listing of nearby sandwich shops and restaurants will be provided at the meeting. The program of events will include:

1.       A recap of the 2003 Annual Conference held in Baltimore, M.D.

2.       Solicitation for ideas and location of future meetings.

3.       Nominations for Vice President/President-elect.

4.       Volunteers for Newsletter Editor.

5.       The Annual Membership drive.

6.       Financial report.

7.       Tours of current exhibitions of the host museum including: Insomnia: Landscapes of the Night; Enterprising Women: 250 Years of American Business; and Passionate Observer: Photographs by Eudora Welty.  For more information on these exhibitions visit the museum website at www.nmwa.org.

2004 Membership forms will be mailed in the weeks before the meeting and can be returned on November 7^th.
