Thanks to Jonathan Franklin's fast and excellent work, the October issue of
Update is now available in the members' only section of the ARLIS/NA web
site. This issue includes reports from the Visual Resources and Museum
Libraries divisions, the Architecture Section, the New Art amd Serials
round tables, the USMARC advisory committee, and another list of
recommended--and not--mysteries on art-related themes. The newsletter also
includes reports from the New York, Southern California, and South East
chapters. It also includes invitations: from the Research Committee to
apply (right away!) for research support and from the Wittenborn Committee
to submit meritorious North American publications for the committee's
