This November sees the opening in London of a major exhibition of
Contemporary Chinese Printmaking
<http://www.bl.uk/whatson/exhibitions/forthcoming.html>at the British
Library. The catalogue, 'Chinese Printmaking Today' (our code:
FARCP1) , is included in our latest list. The exhibition is based
around the collections of the Muban Foundation under the direction of
Hanshan Tang's former proprietor, Christer von der Burg.
Simultaneously, the Foundation has produced a superb portfolio of
original prints, 'The Art of Contemporary Chinese Woodcuts' (our
code: VDBAC1) which is also described in our latest list, along with
its own separately available catalogue (our code: VDBAC1). To share
in the celebrations, we have made a selection from our stock on
traditional woodblock printing and book illustration, popular woodcut
prints, New Year prints, and both modern and contemporary woodcut
printmaking.
The printed version of list 118 will be mailed out shortly.
If you did not get a copy of our *previous* catalogue 117, then you
may have fallen
off the list for mailing of the printed version. Please get in touch if you
would like to be reinstated. If you did get 117 and you have been
active, the paper
copy of 118 will be on its way to you in due course. (Although it will be about
one month before it reaches the US, for example.)
Please note that customers are always welcome to request a text-only version
of the list to be delivered by email.
