According to an announcement on the website of the Arbeitsgemeinschaft der
Kunst- und Museumsbibliotheken (AKMB), the Cologne city council decided at
their July 29th meeting NOT to close the Kunst- und Museumsbibliothek.
Many of our members had signed the online petition set up by the Art
Libraries Society of Flanders/Belgium opposing the closure, and ARLIS/NA
sent a letter to the council and mayor expressing our concern. (See Allen
Townsend's posting of June 27.)
