Catalog Librarian (Part-Time)

The San Francisco Museum of Modern Art seeks a part-time Catalog Librarian.
The Catalog Librarian is responsible for maintaining the highest cataloging
standards within a busy research oriented Library that serves the Museum
staff as well as outside researches.

Responsibilities include original and copy cataloging, maintaining authority
control processes, acting as a liaison with the Museum staff, and
supervising special cataloging projects as needed.

Required: ALA/MLS or MLIS; minimum 3 - 4 years experience; knowledge of and
experience in original and copy cataloging, LCSH, LCC, AACR2, MARC formats,
and RLIN; strong organization skills and attention to detail; and excellent
interpersonal and communication skills.

Preferred: BA in Art History or related field; familiarity with standard
text and electronic resources in the fields or Art History, Photography,
Architecture & Design, and Media Arts; knowledge of foreign languages.
